The necessary amount in cash must accompany all nominations. Nominations for all handicaps close with the secretary at 8 p. m. on Tuesday, December 28tb, 1897, to be accompanied with tbe necessary fees. Handicaps will appear about Monday, January 3rd, 1898 The rules of the Hawera Caledonian Society will be strictly adhered to, and may be obtained from tbe secretary. A full knowledge of the rules will be expected from every competitor. The games will start at 12 noon sharp. Admission Is, children under 12 half price.
