Competitors' attention is particularly draw;< to the following Rules and Regulations— dominations for all handicaps, including jumping events, must be in th,o hands of the secretary not later than Bth January, 1898; two shillings to be paid at time of nominating on events Nos. 3, 5, 9, 11, 14, li 3, 18; one shilling on Nos. 4, 7, 10, 12, I.J. The acceptance mentioned in programme to bo paid at time of accepting. Competitors are requested to send postal notes, not stamps. Nominations vaunt be accompanied with a statement of the last two years' performances, also dates and localities of same. Each competitor must state his handicap and position at finish of race, otherwise he will be liable to disqualification ; also, colors must be sent at time of < nomination. ' There must be two competitors in each event, or no first prize ; three, or no second ; four, or no third.
