Tho Dervishes at Sbendy and Metetnmeh are advancing on Berber. December 25. The native levies at Kassala have captured a Dervish post at Bara. The Dervjsb.es suffered heavy losses. December 27. The officers of the F.gyptiau army have advised t!>at 12,000 troops will bo required for the Anglo-Egjptian campaign in the Soudau. Six hundred Ascaris tribesmen have joined the Egyptian garrison sent to invest Kassala upou its recession by Italy to Egypt.
