Nominators are requested to forward all performances for previous two years up to date of closing, if none during that period the last three years' performances to be given. The necessary amount in caeh must accompany all nomination*. Nominations for all handicaps close with the secretary at 8 p. m. on Tuesday, December 28th, 1897, to be accompanied with tbe necessary fees. Handicaps will appear about Monday, January 3rd, 1898 Tbe rules of the Hawera Caledonian Society will be strictly adhered to, and may be obtained from the secretary. A fall knowledge of the rules will be expected from every competitor. The games will start at 12 noon sharp. Admission Is, children under 12 half price.
