The Proposed Exchange of Arms.
Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright London, December 5. In connection witb tbe proposal of tbe Imperial authorities to convert or ex change tbe rifles used by tbe colonial forces so as to secure a uniformity of arms throughout the Empire, the British Army and Navy Gazette warns Australia not to accept from Government a single loading Martini instead of magazine rifles, and states that Canada has already rejected 40,000 rifles of tbis type.
