After one attack rendered unsuccessful by tbe almost inaccessible nature of the heights where the enemy had entrenched themselves, the British troops made a second attempt to defeat tbe Chamkinnis tribesmen on the Indian frontier, and compelled them to flee from their strong position. December 5. In a second reconnotsanoe against tbe Chamkannis, Mabrajah Sir Partad Marayan Singh, of Ajadia, who ia attached to ihe British column, was wounded.
