Feilding Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
The aboye club opened its courts on Saturday when there was a large gathering. The weather was a perfect treat after the bad weather we hare had Jatelyi Both tennis and croquet were plajed all tbs afternoon, and though the conrts are rather parched from the recent wind and dry days they played better than was expected and will improve when played on a little and they will be in good order if we are fortnnate enough to get rain coon The prospect of the club is good this season, as already them are a number of intending members. The game of croquet seems to find favour, and there were many players taking a keen interest in the game.
During the afternoon, a meeting of the ladies of the club was held to arrange about afternoon teas for tbe season. Miss Fry was elected secretary, and rules and regulations drawn np and passed ; particulars with a list of teas will be seat to the ladies interested.
