Commutation of a Death Sentence.
Telegraph, Press Association. Copyright Bbisbanb, December 4. Tbe Executive Council bas commoted tbe death sentence passed on Wberrill for tbe murder of bis wife at Brisbane to 20 years' imprisonment. Tbe prisoner is tbe man who surrendered to the polipe in September, and conducted the officers to a boo3e where he bad stabbed bis wife on discovering that she bad beeo unfaithful to him.
