Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright Wellington, December 3. Replying to a deputation of Canterbury members, the Minister of Lands said the Government were negotiating for the purchase of the Starborongh and Flaxbourne estates, in Marlborouyh. which, with several properties of the Assets Realisation Board (also to be acquired under the Lands for Settlement Act), wonld make a total of 250,000 acres proposed to be acquired in that provincial district. He also intimated that it was intended to purchase tbe Glen a. ark estate, in Cauterbury, provided it can be acquired at a reasonable price. _____ ___— —
