Next Saturday the match between the Colonial v. the World will take place, •od should prove an enjoyable game. The Colonial teams are Sandilands, Fraser, Bray, jun., Wyllie (skip). Curtis, Blundell, Dickson, Saywell (skip). Two rinks from Danevlrke viaited Pulmerston last Wednesday, and were defeated by the home team by 47 to 24. We would remind members of the Club of the new rule of the Northern Bowline Association (with wbich the local Club is affiliated) that all bowls nnder 3 bias are new non-playable. There are a number of bowla at present in use branded 3 bias bare. It is just as well tbat the owners of such bowls should know tbat these bowls are now " out of court."

The Association has just imported a number of standard bowls, which will bring play into line with tbe recently amended rules, which practically did away with No 2 drawing bowls. In future, bowls played in all matches, either tournament or local, have to come within the tests of these standard bowls, which it is the intention of the Association to distribute amongst the various bowling centres for tbe use of tbe c'nbs within those centres cons meted with tbe Association.
