A youne roan named Alex Cameron, arrested at Marton in connection with an affiliation case, when confronted with his alleged victim at once said she had neyer seen him before. He was immerii. afcely discharged. Counsel said it was a hard case as Cameron had to leavo bis business, spend money, and was now stranded. Mr Beetham, S.M., said lie was sorry he could do nothing for the man. It seemed to him Cameron should be returned to Marton free of expense, and advised an application to Inspector Broham for assistance.
