The German Squadron landed 4600 men at Kiaochan Bay, in the province of Shantung, and seized the hill commanding the native camp, the telegraph station and magasine. The Admiral ordered the Chinese to evacuate or surrender. The latter being without ammunition, retired. The Germans are busily engaged in erecting barracks. Two vessels have been chartered in Shanghai to convey stores to them. Shanghai, November 18. Under the Convention entered into with Count Cassini, Russian Minister at Pekin, China leases the barboM to Russia whenever required.
