WOOL AND SKIN SALE.
The United Farmers' Cooperativ* Association, in conjunction with the Wairarapa Co-operative Association, report as follows : —We held oar; usual fortnightly sale of shuepskins, hides r etc., yesterday, when rre submitted a catalogue of about 1600 ikins, besides a qnantity of crutcbings, dead wool and a small lot of pieces. The presence of outside competition mac c bidding h' jk, especially for well-sared skins, Cnd prices were fully maintained, several lines selling at s£d and we wonld impress upon 'clients the necessity of looking after the pelts if tboy expect their skins to realise fall ratos. We quote — Fnlliwoolled, well saved skins, s|d; three-quarter to fullwoolled, 4fd to 5| ; medium, 4d to 4id ; ; inferior, 2Jd to 4d ; dead wool, sd ; crutcbings, B}d to 4|d ; pieces, inferior, Id to Bd. Hides —Prime heavy ox, 19«; mediam, 18s to 16s ; cows, 8s to 10s. We hold oar tint wool sale of the season on Friday next,. 19tb.
