NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was adopted at a meeting of the Manchester Koad Board held on Friday, the sth of November, 1897 ; and it is proposed to confirm the same at a Special Meeting to be held on Friday, the 10th day of December, 1897 — That thi3 Board, under the pro visions of " The Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and under and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand oi His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and dated the seventh day of September, 18 ( J7, authorising the Manchester Road Board to re build a portion and repair a Bridge over the Oroua River at Aorangi, and apportioning the cost of the same, borrow a sum of £604 3s 4d for the purpose of providing this Board's share of the cost of the same, in accordance with the above-men-tioned Warrant, and that a Special Rate of one seventy-fifth part of a penny in the £ be hereby made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown acd Native land excepted) within the Manchester Road District for the purpose of providing interest on the above loan of £604 3s 4d, to be borrowed under 11 The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable at the Board's office in equal halfyearly instalmeuts on the Ist day of April and October in eacli year.
