NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was adopted at a meeting of the Manchaster Boad Board held on Friday, the sth of November, 1897 ; and it is proposed to confirm the same at a Special Meeting to be held on Friday, the 10th day of December, 1897 : —
That this Board, under the provisions of " The Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and under and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and dated the seventh day of September, 1807, authorising the Manchester Road Board to re-build a portton and repair a Bridge over the Oroua River at Aorangi, and apportioning the cost of the same, borrow a sum of £604 3s 4d for the purpose of providing this Board's share of the cost of the same, in accordance with the above-men-tioned Warrant, and that a Special Rate of one seventy- fifth part of a penny in the H, be hereby made upon the rateable value of th« whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native land excepted) within the Manchester Road District for the purpose of providing interest on the above loan of £604 3s 4d, to be borrowed under *• The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable at the Board's office in equal halfyearly instalments on the Ist d*y of April and October in each year.
