Captain Edwin wired to-day:— Wind between N.E. and N. and W. at all places N. of LytteUou and Hokitika aud betweeu N. and W\ and S.W. elsewhere. Barometer fall at all places north of LytteUoa and Hokitika ; fall but ri«o after 12 hours at all otber places. Northerly gales are to be expected at all place north of Lyttelton and Hokitika, and westerly gales at all other places.
