The trial is proceeding at Poonah of the Brahmin advocate Darnedar Chap* kedar who recently confessed to the mu'der of Rand and Lieut Ayerst, two special plague officers killed during the riots among the natives. The accused Brahmin has admitted tbe truth of bis coufession.
