(Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 2. In tbe Legislative Council, in Corn* j mittee on the Debts Kecovery Limitation i Bill, the Hon Mr Oliver at clause 2 ' moved to kill tbo Bill and his motion ' was carried by 19 to 15. Tho Hon the Minister for Education moved the second reading of the Public ; School Teachers Incorporation and Court of Appeal Act Amendment Bill. He said it was only fair nnd generons that public school teachers should have the same right of appeal against dismissal as waa enjoyed by other elapses of public servants. The Hon Mr Bowen moved that tbe Bill should be referred to tbo School Committees »nd Education Boards throughout ibw colony, and the Minister for Education accordingly postponed the debate for a weok. Tho Hon tbe Minister for Education moved the second reading of tho Edncation Boards Election Bill, designed to remedy tbe present unsatisfactory sys tern of election of Education Boards. Tbe Bill was read a socond time. The second reading of the Miuing Companion Act Amendment Bill was apreed to on the motion of the Minister for Education. Tbe Council adjourned at 4.10 p.m.
