(Per Press Association) Mklisourne, Nov 1. Cardinal Moran opened St. Patrick's Cathedral. Tho Bishops of Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Wellington, and a large number of othur leading clerics took part in the ceremony, which was a roost impressive one. The build ing has been in courso of erection for many years, aud bas cost over £200,000 without towers or spires. Brisb^nk, November 2. Fred Shepherd shot his wife dead at Port Stewart and then committed suicide.
