Band Contest.
(Per Press Association.) Oamauu, Nov. 2. The annual baud contest of tho Now Zealand Bands' Association began to day with the quickstep competition. The following is the order in which the bands were placed in the quickstep competition :— Oamaru, 140pts; Timaru, 143pts; Wellington Garrison, 140 ; Waimate, 130 ; Kaikorai, 120.
