Native Troubles.

(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, October 30. About fifty Maoris oommenoed ploughin the Waitara township this morning, and were ejected by the settlers. Inspector McGovern, and men. have gone to Pukearube, 20 miles north of Waitara, to arrest some natives there, meanwhile the Waitara settlers are keeping watch to prevent ploughing. Later. Sergeant Stagpoole has arrested 21 more natives nt Waitara and Waihl, and inspector McGoyern ia aso on his way with a large batch from Pukearube. There are already 41 natires in the local gaol.
