(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT. | The Awaburi Dairy Factory Company have their factory almost complete, in fact the milk from several suppliers who must briug tbeir milk (it being tbe end of tbe month) or go elsewhere with it, was taken and put through the separator this morning. Tbe main body of suppliers will not take tbeir milk for several days, till everything is in thorough working order. At a meeting of the shareholders held ou Friday evening last it was decided to publicly open tbe factory on Wednesday. Luncheon will be provided. Mr Tarrant, with several ladies met with a trap accident in Sandon on Thursday evening last. Luckily no one was badly hrirt. As tbey were abont to start tbe horse plunged forward and snapped tbe trace chains ; the vehicle tipped up acd precipitated tbem on to the pavement, landing two of tbe ladies nicely on their feet, the other Mr Tarrant rescued from daDger. Tbe delay in mending tbe harness was the only inconvenience caused. Metapcre, wife of tbe native ebief Tap* to Wbata, who died several years ago. died on Sunday morning. A big tatigi is expected.
