The French Government hai refused to recognise the treaties entered into be tweeu the Royal Niger Company and the territorial chiefs of Weßt Africa nntil their terms are formally communicated by the British GoverDoient. The French newspapers are greatly excited in their refireuc*-s to the claims of France and Great Britain. It is insisted by the French Colonial Party that M. Uanotaax. Foreign Minister, should uphold the rights of France, especially in respect of the Kingdoms of Nikui and Bouasa.
