The Flying Jordans.
The Flying Jordan* appeared in Feilding last evening before a large audience in a commodioat tent which .hey take with them to enable them to perform their difficult aerial feats. All that has been said about the combination as to their wonderful acrobatic and a»rial performances was perfectlj correct, and the evolutions were at once striking and attractive in daring. Each performer is v a artist in himself, or herself, and inT whole of them seem to have departed from the stereotype run of aerobatio feats. The aerial acts of thi Flying Jordans were new and extremely clever and they are deserving of their name. The trapeze flights in which the ladj tarns in the air and is caoght by her companion hanging head downwards, the return flight to her own trapese, doable and triplicate somersaults, the greatest feats known in the acrobatic world, are marvellously well done. A clever performance by one young lady on the " rooltips," the technical name fpyen by gymnasts to the rings on which the " act " is done, defies description. Miss Virginia Aragon performed on the wire, over which she has a marvellous comroand, her feats being watched with unflagging attention. Mario's performance on the horizontal bar was varied, daring, and novel. A stage was fitted up at one end of the huge tent, where Otto Schroder gave an exhibition of trick bicycle riding. He rode a bicyele in every conceivable and inconceivable position. Miss Era Clemenbi and the Stanfields, Eva and D'Arcy, provided the comic elements, their Binging being loudly applanded. The Hadjis created tome amusement by their Irish witticisms. Mr Howard and Mies Fannie St. Clair were very comicfJ in an original sketch, while Little Thursday cleverly danced a sailor's hornpipe. Before the performance commenced Henri Latnont dived from the top of a high pole into a net.
