Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co 's ■lock reports : — We held oar usual sale at Waverlay on Friday. A fair number of cattle came forward and we sold nearly all oat. At St. Hill street a large number of useful ctttle were yarded. Bidding was fairly brisk, resulting in tbe disposal of the lot with the exception of two pens. We sold all tbe sheep at current rates. Pigs also told well. We quote :— Cattle — At Waverley — Springing heifers, L 2 8s to L 4 5s ; steers, LI 18s to L 2 12s6d; yearlings, 20s. At St. Bill street — Forward bullocks, L 4; well grown bullocks, LS 7s ; 3 year old steers, L 2 18s 9d ; 2 year olds, L 2 ss ; cows, Ll 14s 6d to L 2 4s ; heifers, 35s to 50s ; yearlings, 23s to 37s 6d. Sheep — At Warerley — Hoggets, 8s to 10s 9d ; old ewes and lambs, 5s Bd. At Wanganui — Fat ewes, 8s 9d ; hoggets, 8s 4d to 8s 7d ; dry ewes, 6s 6d ; old ewes, ss ; fat lambs, ss. Pius— At Waverley -Small pigs, 8s 9d. At Wanganui — Baconers, 30s to 40s ; porkers, 16s to 19s ; large pork, 22s to 25s ; young pige, 7s 6d lo 12s ; suckers, 3 * 9d t0 5»-
