THE FEILDING LARRIKINS.
TO THK EDITOR. Sib,— I would like, through your col* umne, to address • few words to the larrikins of Feilding re their behaviour at concM-is, entertainments, etc. I am not talking only of boys — I will not call them men — but also of young women ; they all, I «m sorry to say, not only make insulting remarks about the per formers, who are striving to give them pleasure, but also about the rest of the audience. lam not a great frequenter of concerts, etc., but each entertainment I have been to I have noticed the greater part of the audience are more ill mannered than ever. Truly 1 think with a famous writer of the present day — that a great many of our young people are rapidly deteriorating to the monkey tribe. The sooner the better, for when once they are in their native element hanging by their tails to trees and scratching each other, they will not then invade our concert rooms in tribes, jabbering and laughing at everything they do not understand. I am, etc., One who is Musical.
