Fair Wages on Government Contracts
(Per Press Association.) London, October 9. The Select Committee of the House of Commons appointed in May, 1896, to consider the working of the fair wages i resolution of February 13th, 1891, which called for fair wagea in Government contracts and its administration by the various Government departments, has presented its report. The Committee Bay the working of the resolution has had no adverse effect upon employers or employed, but has probably promoted agreement between them.
