(Per Press Association.) Sydney, October 4. The was fine weather for the second day of the Athletic Meeting. The Half mile Championship, for which McKean was fancied, fell to Campbell, of Queensland. Time, 2min 2 4 sth sec. The Pole Jump elicited great interest owing to the splendid and graceful jumping of Hori Eruera, the New Zealander. The only other competitor was Mcßae of Victoria. He gave the Maori no trouble, failing to negotiate anything over 10ft. The 220 yds Flat Championship resulted as followB:— Rowley (New South Wales), 1; Campbell (Queensland) 2. Time, 22 2-ssec, tying tbe Australasian record. None of the New Zealand cyclists ran prominently in any of tbe handicap events. In tbe Three-mile Walk Championship, Wilson (Now Zealand) won. Time 22min 37 1 ssec The 440 yds Hurdles Championship, resulted iv a dead heat. In the ran off Holder (New Zeuland) won. Time, 62sec. In the Three mile Running Championship, Cumming (Victoria) was first. Time, 15min 40 2 ssec.
