NAPIER TRAINING NOTES.

(Per Press Association.) Naiier, Sept. 30. The wet weatli'T --till continues to interfere with training operations. In spite of the rain falling this morning there was a good muster on the track. Hobart went two rounds at half pace, Victoria Cross cantered twice and Nevermore ran four furlongs at top in good style. New Forest and St. Conan put in two strong circuits at three-quarter pafp, Multiform ran about six furlongs at top speed, k'oing very determinedly, and pleasing the touts very much. Straybird and Petroleum were out in a mile and a quarter gallop, and many others did easy work.

(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, Sept. 80. Pivot ami Burleigh have been scratched for both the Melbourne and Cuultield Cups, Prince Carbine for the Melbourne Cup and Jobs for the Caulfield Qup.
