Banquet to the Hon. J. G. Ward.

(Per Press Association.) Invercaroill, Sept. 16. The Hon. J O. Ward was entertained at a banquet by the Awarua electors to* night. Tbere was a large attendance. The Hon. J. McKenzie came south to be present and be was played to tba Hail by » pipe band. Mr Ward referred to the attack of his political opponents, and reasserted bis intention to stand again and again for the suffrage of the people. The Hon. Mr J. McKenzie spoke in defence of Mr Ward and lauded his administrative and political career.
