The N.Z.L. & M.A. Co, report as follows: — Sheepskins. — At our sale od Friday we otiered a fair sized catalogue, consisting of about 700 skins. The attend* ancG of buyers was good aud competition exceptionally keen. We think prices were }d to per lb better than at last sale, and every lot was cleared under the hammer. For one line of fairly good well woo! led s£d was paid, but really prime skins to day would have fetched more mojioy. Oats.— The market continues de« pressed and dealers are only buying from hand to mouth. It is thought, however, that values have now reached bed rock, and a recovery is looked for shortly. The demand for seed parcels has been particularly good during the pant week. We quote prime short fntd at 2s 6d to 2s 7d, sacks in ; seed Dunn and Tartar, '2s lOd to 3s 3d per bushel, ex store. Fowl Wheat.— Owing to the firm tone of the market for milling wheat, prim* lines of good whole fowl have shown a tendency to advance in value, and as this description is now becoming scarce higher prices are demanded by holders. We quote good whole at 3s lid to 4s, sacks extra, ex store. Chaff.— The market continues dull, and dealers are only buying to muet immediate requirements. Stocks are, however, not heavy, neither here nor in the Sooth, and we should not be sur. prised to see a sharp recovery, Market values are : For prime oaten sheaf, 87s 6d to 93s 6d ; medium, 75s to 82s 6d, sacks extra, ex store. Maize — A further drop in values lias to be recorded, and at the moment orders could be filled at from 2s 3d to 2s sd, ex wharf. The quantity offering is more than sufficient for requirements, aud sales are difficult to effect at even the above figures. Potatoes. — Market dull. Supplies available are more than sufficient for requirements, and sales of prime table Derwents are difficult to effect at 62s 6d to 67s 6d per ton, sacks in, ex store. Fungus. — Market strong. We have placed considerable consignments dur ing the week, and the enquiries still continues. For well dried parcels 3}d per lb is readily obtainable.
