The Engineer's Strike.

(Per Press Association) London, September 2. At the present time 378 Engineering firms are resisting tbe demands of the engineers who are on strike for 8 hours as a day's labor. The Secretary of tbe Employers' Federation states there will be no tor mination of tbe dispute unless the men withdraw their demands so far as Loudon District is coucerned. Much trade will, he says, be driven outside of Britain before the workmen are aware of it.
