Shipping Freights on Dairy Produce.
(Per Press Association) Wellington, Sept 2. Tbe Shipping companies have refused to reduce the freight upon dairy produce beyond Jd per 1b on butter and nothing on cheeee. Tbe National l'airy Association aeked for 3 16d on butter and 116 d on cbeese, net weight, and no primage. The preienl rates, it is stated, are equal on a measurement basis to L 6 per ton for butter and L 5 for cheeae at against L2 lßs for frozen mutton.
