Labour Strikes in London.
(Per Press Association.) London, August 30. A gathering of sixteen thousand members of the Amalgamated Engineers' Association and allied trade* in Hyde Park adopted resolutions heavily con* ourriug in the movement in favour of eight hours, and expressing strong sympathy with the provincial workers. On Saturday £30.000 was distributed in the shape of strike pay amongst 45,000 hands.
