Breakdown of a French Cruiser.
(Per Press Association.) Pvris, August 20. The French armoured cruiser Briux (4650) tons), whilst acting as escort to President Faure and his colleagues on thfir departure to visit Russia, became disabled and and bad to return to port, being replaced by tbe armoured cruiser Dupny de Lome. The incident has given rise to a great outcry in tbe press, which demands that Admiral Besnard, Minister of Marine, should resign when he returns from his visit to Russia.
