The Assassination of the Spanish Premier.
(Per Press Association) Madrid, August 10. The news of Canova's death created a panic at Havanna. Maria Christina, the Queen Regent, in a letter to tbe widow, states how deeply she has been affected by j>he horrible misfortune, and asserts that tbe country and history wonld do justice to the life and work of Canovas.
