Destructive Fire in Sydney.

o (Per Press Association.) Stones', This Day. Tbere was a great fire in the city at 8 80 this morning wben a fine four storey building, oecupiid by the Australian Star, Castlereagh street, was completely destroyed by fire. It must have been burning for some time for wben the brigade received the call the building was a seething mass of flames. A southerly breeze aided tbe flames and lit up the city, and blowing tbem over tbe Beresford Chambers where the New Zealand Press Association office is located. Tbe strennons efiorts of tbe brigade managed to confine tbe fire to tbe newspaper office which was burnt cut from cellar to garret.
