There v/ne medium entries of Block in all cla««e» except fat cheep at Addington which at this time of ihe je»r form the chief feature of the market. The attendance was large and business wat fairly brifk. The entries comprised 9952 she»p and lambs, 212 cattle, aud 282 pigs. The entry for fat cattle was smaller than for some time, numbering only 157. 50 were dealt with privately. Rather more good •tears than usual were brought forward, including a nice line from Price Bros., which brought up to £8 7s 6d, averaging ±8, but the heifers were mostly light weights. The bidding was slightly brisker, and the sale showed more lite than fur some time, nearly every liae be ing cleared, but no actual advanc« on prioes c*n be recorded. The best beef brought 16s to 17 » 6d per ICO b. Medium and mixed torts, 12s 6d to 15s. Price per head were — For steers, £5 to £8 7s 6d ; heifari. £3 12s 6d to £2 17i 6d ; cowi, JE3 5« to £6 10d. The dairy class was not very well represented, and a few tales were made, there being no demand except for good young springers, which (old up to £1. No store cattle were yarded. Another large entry of fat sheep came to hand, including some very nice lines of freezing sheep. Best freezing wethers realised 15s to 17s 7d ; medium wethers and maidan ewes, 12s 6d to 15s 6d ; batchers' best) owes, 11s to 12s lOd ; medium do., 8s to 10s ; and inferior, 6s to 7s 6d.

A hne of three-quarter- bred fat wethers brought 14s 8d ; not. quiet so forward, 18s to 13s lid ; wethers and maiden ewes for turnips, lls to lls lid ; sound-mouthed ewes in lamb, 8s 6d to lls 3d ; aged do, 6s 6d to 8s ; backward sorts, 6a fld to 7s 6d ; merino ewes in lamb, 8s lid.

A medium yarding of pigs contained some very good quality of fats, which met with a keen demand, baoonnrs and porkers averaging 3Jd per lb and selling np to 4d. ______^_^__
