France and England.
The Paris ' Soleil ' says that Germany is endeavoring to involve France in a straggle against Great Britain. " She wants ns to fight for the King of Prussia," that journal remarks— (a play npon words, " Fighting for the King of Prussia" in tie French idiorm meaming fighting without benefit) ; " but it must Dot be forgotten that^Great Britain in our best customer. Germany forces her industrial trash npon us and requires none of onr products in return. Russia is very fond of us, but closes her frontier to onr products. Greatßritain, whetbersympathetic or not, buys from us each year 600,000,000 francs of goods more than ■be sells to us. These 600,000,000 francs are so much profit to France, not taking into account the money spent iv our country by the thousands of English visitors. Great Britain is our last setions customer, and out means do not permit ns to show her the door in order to please William II." The ' Soleil, 1 in conclusion, says that although it regards au entente cordiale between France and Great Britain as impossibly yet there is a wide margin between an entente cordiale and war.
