The Selection Committee of the Can* terbury Amateur Athletic Club have chosen the following to go into training for the Australasian Meeting (triali to take place on August 20tb) after which the best men will be recommended to Association to go to Sydney:— Sprints, W. Balcb, A. Clark, ,T. H. Hempton, E. A. Robinson, W. Hayward ; Quarterinile Flat, H Mrßeeves ; High aqfl Long Jumps, P. J. Brown, and 11. H. Piercy ; Long Distance Events, C. C. Cox, W. J. Percy, \V. F. Simpson (Kirwee) ; Hurdles, J. Moir, F. Harley; Walking, H. Goodman ; Weight and Hammer Throwing, C. Louissou.
