Oddfellowship.

o A good attendance of members was present at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Manchester Lodge Oddfellows, which was held in Mr Bray's office on Friday evening last. After the Lodge had been opened in due form by the N.G., Bro Aitken, one new member was duly elected and initiated, P,G. Bro F. Hewett acting as Lecture Master and one waa proposed for membership. The Secretary read the balance sheet for quarter ending Jane, which showed that the Lodge was making very good progress. P.P.G.M, Bro Parker and N.G, Bro Aitken were appointed as delegates to the next District meeting, which takes place in Feildingon July 23rd. A hearty rote of thanks was accorded to Mr Bray for kindly allowing the Lodge the use of his office to hold their meeting in. After the Lodge was closed, the committee appointed to carry out the social and dance which is to be held in the Assembly Rooms on July 23rd met, when a good deal of routine business was done. As the Oddfellows' socials and dances bare always been carried out in a satisfactory manner, and with great success, the committee are endeavouring on this occasion lo still make tbe affair a greater success. Mr R F. Haybittle's band bai beeu engaged for the occasion, which, we are sure, will give every satisfaction, as it biti always done on previous occasions. The price of admission is : Gentlemen ss, ladies free ; and tickets can be obtained from any membtr of the committee.
