(Per Press Association. Wellington, This Day. Sergeant Major Ramsay, of the Wellington polica, has been transferred to Cbristchurcli. He will be succeeded by Sergeant Major Mason, of Christcliurch. Dunedin, July 5. The body of James Cook, a tailor, who has been missing since tbe 29th May, was found in the harbour to-day-His overcoat and hat was found at tbe water's edge the day after he was missed. He was a widower. Waimate, July 5. A man named William Lockbart Weir, an old resident in the district, shot himself on Sunday evening. Deceased had been in bad health for some time. At the inquest to-day a verdict was returned that deceased shot himself while temporarily insane.
