Sydney Sheep Sales.

♦ (Per Press Association.) Sydney, July 5. The annual stud sheep sales opened to-day. In consequence of the drought the catalogues were not so lenglhy as in recent years, but the condition of the sheep was generally good. There was an excellent attendance. The bidding was rather slack at the commencement, but it improved. The prices were gen* erally satisfactory. The catalogues were confined to Tasmaniau and New Sontb Wales merinos. For Tasmaman, Mr Gibson, of Scone, obtained top prices with tbe rams Royal Hero II and 111 and Hero 11, each bringing 250 guineas. Six others of the same lot averaged £40. One hundred and thirty guineas was paid for Clark Bros.' ram Colonel Stick* ney, 95 guineas being tbe next highest figure. Fourteen Collaroy Company's rams averaged 50 guineas.
