Rongotea Notes.
_o (From our own correspondent). A rery enjoyable social was given by (he ladies of the Wesleyan Church on Thursday night in the Rongotea Hal). The evening's amusement oonsißted of instrumental pieces, songs, duett, and games. There were between sixty and seventy persons present and everyone enjoyed themselyes perfectly. Mesdames A'Court, Bowater, Anderson and Gifford provided the refreshments and arranged the programme. The funds are to be devoted to renovating the Church. The Salvation Army held a social in the Hall on Wednesday night. On Monday night Miss Sears gave one of her Sacred Concerts in the Primitive Methodist Church. It was fairly well attended and the programme was an ex> cellent one. Mies Seara was greatly assisted by the help of Mrs J. Sanson and Miss Harper who took their parts exceedingly well. The final committee meeting for the celebration of the Queen's Record Reign takes place at Mr Hammond's to-day. An excellent programme has been arranged and, given fine weather, a grand day is expected.
