The Queen's Record Reign.
(Per Press Association.) London, June 6. In connection with the jubilee celebrations, it bas been arranged tbat tbe bells in every church in the United Kingdom shall ring out peals at midnight on tho 21st June. Detachments of the Niger native forces have arrived to take part in the Jubilee celebrations. June 7. A Jubilee thanksgiving service will be held outside St. Pauls on June 22nd. It will last 10 minutes. The Queen's carriage will be surrounded by her sons, grandsons, and other princes on borse back. Almost every race subject to tbo Queen's rule will be present at the celebrations. Lord Hopetoun waited upou and cor dially welcomed Sir George Turner. The wholo of tbe colonial troops attended a church parade at Chelsea yes terday. Sir John Forrest, Premier of Western Australia, has arrived, and was wel corned and honoured iv the same way as the other colonial Premiers. The Irish National League of Great Britain has appealed to the Irish not to share in the Jubilee celebratious. T. P. O'Connor, member for Liverpool, refused to take any part in tbe rejoicings on the ground that the Queen's reign bas proved disastrous to tbe couutry. Mr Dillon and other members of the Irish party presented tho Jubilee tickets they received in their capacity of mem bcrs of Parliament to friends. Dunedin, Juno 5 The Evening Star has started a shilling subscription in aid of the children's ward at tbe Hospital. At a public meeting latt utght, it wai decided to raise funds for establishing a children's hospital ward, to be called the Victoria Ward, in commemoration of the Record Reign. The movement is not autagonistic to the free public library j resolved upon a few nights ago. About ' L 220 bas beeu already subscribed. OniusTCHUKCii, June 7Sir James Prendergast has forwarded £25 as his .subscription to the extension of tbe Jubilee Home at Christchurch. Sydney, June 7. The Daily Telegraph has started a shilling snbscriptipn fund in aid of tbe Jubilee Home for' Consumptives.
