MANGAMAKO ROAD.
(TO THE EDITOR.) Sir, — As ' Mangamako ' still sticks to bis ideal balance-sheet re expenditure of loan money, it is quite useless for me to say much more about this matter ; but Ido contradict ' Mangamako ' in his accusation " that ' New Chum ' appears to have visited the road since the publication of bis letter " ('Mangamako's'). This I have not done, but have occasion to travel the Mangamako road bi annually, and have done so both along the present road and the old route through Mr W. Marshall's property for some years past. The " loan " has for some considerable time been the means of private— and often heated— discus sion, which does not benefit one a great deal ; therefore, as th's matter has been sufficiently threshed out by myself and 1 Mangamako,' I sahll not say anything more on the subject. I am, iScc , New Chum.
