(Per Press Association.) Sydney, This Day. i In the Assembly Mr Levieu's Betting Bill was read a first time. It proposes to exempt the Hand wick racecourse and all other racecourses and lands registered under tbe rules and regulations of the Jockey Club from the interpretation of tbe word " place " uadsr the Betting Houses Suppression Act, making betting in these places legal.
