(to the editor ) Sir, — In reply to your correspondent " Middle Age." 1 think it would be obvious to persons much younger than he tbat the word " Carthaginia " was simply a fapsitx calami for " Carthage," the residence of the Carthaginians. My authority for the curious fact mentioned ia au ancient writer whose works I posess. It is just possible that " Middle* Ago" has not perused tbepo valuable writings, in which case I shall be htppy to show them to him, if he will do tba honor of calling at the Manse.
