o (Per Press Association.) Thursday Island, June 1. Hong Kong newipapers to hand show that the Taivuan gold robbery was discovered five days after leaviog Port Darwin. Tbe safe key, kept by the chief officer, was missing, ami tbe door of the safe lock«d. Strict search was made on reaching Hong Kong, but without any trace of the gold or thief. It is beliered that the robbery was committed while the steamer was at Port Darwin.
