The Plimmerton Tragedy.

(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, This Day. With reference to the Plimmerton tragedy which Saturday's message from Gisborne again throws into a mystery, the Taranaki Herald states that early ia 1894 a married conple attempted suicide in the Auckland district under peculiar circumstances. The same couple afterwards stayed in New Plymouth a short time, and than left by train for Wellington, and were never heard of since. The possible identity of this couple, with the remains found at Plimmerton was remarked at the time owing to the description of the clothes found; but the police theory that the remains were those of Braybrook and bis wife caused the subject to be dismissed.
